Daysha May | Visual Artist and Content Creator

“Called to CREATE. Let’s do it TOGETHER.”

Daysha Bullock, a.k.a Daysha May is a multidisciplinary artist and content creator born and raised in Greenville, North Carolina. Her earliest memories include creativity essentially being second nature (her mom still has LOADS of her fetus drawings, lol!). From being excited to create posters for class assignments, taking every art class there ever was in her K-12 educational career, to making duct tape purses when it was all the rage and drawing her own shoe/fashion designs, it is safe to say that creativity is at her core.

After graduating high school, she went on to pursue higher education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art. Her particular area of study was New Media and Design and she also pursued an entrepreneurship minor in tandem. It was during her time at university that she discovered her passion for video editing. In July of 2023, Daysha began her social media journey to merge her love for visual art and digital media. She enjoys creating unique videos and making bold declarations to connect with her audience and brands alike. Since beginning her online presence just two years ago, she has won haircare brand Pardon My Fro’s social media challenge (2023), been featured in art brand Sakura of America’s Black History Month Newsletter (2024), created T-shirts for the City of Washington, NC Juneteenth event (2024), was a finalist for beverage brand BUBBL’R’s Boost Your Future campaign (2024), and so much more! Daysha’s mission is to continue to create even more boldly, confidently, and abundantly, all while building her online presence to reach anyone that is inspired to not only dream – but to truly believe and make it happen.

Letter from the Artist

Hi! I wanted to write a little something to encourage you to keep going, keep dreaming, keep creating. I know what it’s like to feel like you’re running on a hamster wheel, wondering if those experiences, opportunities, etc. will ever come to fruition. I’ve got three words for you: Trust. The. Process. That has been my biggest lesson here lately. My courage and tenacity for continuing to build this dream of mine in the midst of what feels like chaos at times is my faith. Fun fact: That’s why I wear a cross on my pointer finger, because I trust God to point me in the direction that he wants me to go. And right now, it’s all about planting good seeds. So create your art… and trust. Make that movie… and trust. Sing that song… and TRUST! Whatever it is, tend to it intentionally and authentically. Nurture the in-between. Everything will fall into place in due time. Thank you for reading, and above all, thank you so much for being here.

Love,
